How to Stay Connected
How to Stay Connected
The Old Oaks Association hosts a range of events throughout the year, and there are many other ways to stay connected with the community and the school.
Visit Somerset College Campus
Our dream: we want Old Oaks to be proud ambassadors of the College and we encourage Old Oaks to return and visit the College. We love welcoming past students and parents back to the school to hear what you are up to. If you would like to have a chat or catch up, contact alumni@somcol.co.za and we will be happy to assist.
If you would just like to pop in to say hello, Manor House reception is the place!
AlumNet Portal
To keep up with our growing community, we have introduced the AlumNet portal, a platform to celebrate successes at the College and of the Old Oaks, and to help Old Oaks to stay in touch with friends and the College. This is our school and the Old Oaks have a vital role to play in keeping the College a special place filled with opportunity, friendship and love – so join today.
Year Reps
Year Reps have been appointed to keep each year group in touch and united by sharing news and interesting stories and ensuring contact details are kept up to date.
They are also vital in assisting to arrange mini/major reunions. If you would like to become a year rep, please get in touch.

Networking
THE OAK LOUNGE
The Oak Lounge is a series of engagement sessions designed to connect Old Oaks and people within the Somerset College network. During these sessions, a selection of panelists will discuss themed topics, offer advice, experienced opinions, wisdom and answer questions. The Oak Lounge hopes to give Old Oaks an opportunity to connect/network, learn, give back and develop their careers.
Events
Keep an eye on the Old Oaks Association Facebook page for posts about upcoming events hosted through the Old Oaks committee. The school also welcomes alumni and past parents to events.
