Volunteering at Somerset College

Saturday School

Somerset College has partnered with Nomzamo High School to create a Saturday School programme which provides lessons for students from Nomzamo. At present and as part of phase 1, the Saturday School is providing lessons in Maths (Core and Literacy), Science and English for 24 Grade 12 students.

Coaching

Somerset College welcomes alumni and past parents as volunteers for outdoor and sport coaching.

Acorn Bursary Trust

Established by the parents and staff of Somerset College, the Acorn Bursary Trust (ABT) is a registered Public Benefit Organisation that believes education is the greatest form of empowerment.

Through the building of a capital fund to support current and new bursary students for their full five years of high school, the ABT has brought the excellence of Somerset College education to deserving candidates from disadvantaged backgrounds for over 10 years.
